The Somatic Alchemy 1:1 Mentorship blends together trauma-informed therapeutic yoga, somatic healing, coaching, and mindfulness to support your wellbeing; deepening and transforming your relationship with your body and mind.

The medical approach many of us in the west have grown up with, treats the mind and body separately, but we’re beginning to remember and realise; we are whole beings, and everything is connected. Here we work with the whole of you: body, mind and spirit.

The extra deets

  • Online sessions take place via Zoom

    In person sessions take place from my home studio (2 minute walk from Sneinton Market, Nottingham)

  • 6x 75 minute sessions held within 3 months.

    Reduced - £55 per session (£330 for 6 sessions)

    Standard - £70 per session (£420 for 6 sessions)

    Abundant - £85 per session (£510 for 6 sessions)

    This container can be paid for per session, monthly instalments, or as a block.

  • I usually recommend a minimum of 6 sessions. I offer this amount of sessions, as this is often the optimal amount for sustainable, long lasting changes and transformation.

    Of course, we are all on unique journeys and the amount of sessions needed varies from person to person.

    For some, 6 is the perfect amount. and others prefer to continue the journey.

    If you wish to continue working together at the end of the first 6 sessions, you will be able to book sessions individually, or continue in 6 session blocks.

    Your first 6 sessions may take place weekly or fortnightly.

  • Again, please know that you are not alone in this feeling. I know that this world demands a lot from us, we’re often holding so much and spinning way more plates than we feel like we can handle.

    Take a slow breath in and a long breath out. Soften your shoulders back and down, open your heart, and unclench your jaw.

    This is your space to put those plates down and be completely held. You are worthy of dedicating 75 minutes to fill up your own cup and tend to your health and wellbeing. When we do this, everything shifts; we create space for regulating, replenishing, and healing our whole being, we gain perspective and remember what is truly important in our lives. Often, we reclaim a sense of abundance, gently letting go of patterns of survival, scarcity, and lack.

    On this journey you will be supported to set the boundaries you need and make more supportive choices with the time the time that you have.

    If needed, you can find support for time management in these sessions, setting boundaries, and efficiently using your energy.

    The practice protocols for you to integrate our work together are also catered to you and your lifestyle. We’ll explore an array of micro-practices that you can weave into your day-to-day life to care for yourself, leaving you feeling truly empowered and able to resource yourself through the challenges of life.

  • ‘Soma’ is the Greek word for body.

    You might also sometimes hear it described as ‘the living organism in its wholeness’

    ‘Somatics’ describes any practice that integrates the mind and body, or all spheres of our being, including the spiritual sphere, our connection to each other, and the earth.

    Somatic practices primarily focus on strengthening the body-mind connection, as we reclaim our capacity to feel and work with the natural intelligence of the body. This has an abundance of healing and transformative properties.

    In a society and system of duality that has conditioned us to separate mind from body. Ourselves from the earth and each other; somatics reminds us that we are one. It can remind us of our wholeness and the power we hold within.

  • We experience life through our bodies. Stress, anxiety, burnout, joy, shame, connection, pleasure, freedom (the list goes on) all happen in our bodies. They occur and are experienced in our nervous system, our breath, our fascia, our muscles, our organs, and through sensation. Our life experiences have been imprinted into these areas of our body and the way we hold our selves.

    Very often the stories in our minds, follow the states of our bodies.

    It is truly a disservice to leave the body out of the healing, or transformation process.

    For many, working with the body is an unexplored piece of the puzzle.

    In our sessions, we do not neglect the power of the mind and neuroscience; there is so much healing and transformation that can happen here (I am a big nerd for this work). We simply integrate the body back into the experience, using a ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ approach.

    Here you are invited to meet all parts of yourself and discover the universe within.

  • The mentorship is offered in 6 session blocks, as I have found that clients see the best results when they truly commit to themselves and this journey in this way. This is a gentle and steady journey, and whilst we may have many ‘aha’ moments and breakthroughs, long lasting and sustainable change takes time. The 6 session block offers accountability and an opportunity for you to commit to yourself.
